Rep. Ralph Norman Introduces Legislation to Award the Medal of Honor to Major James Capers, Jr.

Last Thursday, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) introduced H.R. 587, authorizing President Biden to award Major James Capers Jr. the Medal of Honor.   Major Capers was responsible for incredible acts of valor when his Marine Corps special operations team was ambushed during a mission in Phu Loc, Vietnam in 1967 during the Vietnam War.   H.R. 587…

Commitment to America

I get a lot of questions about what Republicans will do next year when we take back control of the House of Representatives. These are important questions. After all, we can talk forever about spiraling inflation, record illegal immigration, rising violent crime, foreign policy disasters, fentanyl crisis, “woke” education programs, out of control government bureaucracies, etc. But it’s…

A Great Day for South Carolina Veterans

It's a great day for South Carolina veterans! In just a moment, Governor Henry McMaster is expected to sign the Workforce Enhancement and Military Recognition Act into state law. This will exempt the retirement income of our military veterans from state taxes. Back in February, I led a joint statement in support of this effort with every member of the South Carolina delegation to…

What’s Your Solution, Ralph?

| Posted in Blog

“What’s your solution, Ralph?” I get that question all the time, especially when I talk about wasteful spending in Congress and our $30 trillion in federal debt. Friends, our nation is heading for financial ruin. I’m so tired of being asked to vote “yes” on new spending bills with no offsets. I’m tired of bloated, wasteful government. I’m tired of agency heads who claim they can't do…

D-Day

2,501 American soldiers gave their lives along the beachheads of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Thousands more were injured.   D-Day was a monumental effort to help defeat Nazi Germany and end WWII. 78 years later, we still honor and remember their incredible sacrifice.

Memorial Day 2022

| Posted in Blog

We think of most holidays as times of celebration – as joyful occasions. But this one is not. Memorial Day is a day of reverence. It's a day of honor and respect. It's a day we reflect and pay tribute those who have laid down their lives in service to this great nation. And it's a day we thank God for each one of those brave men and women.

Today is Vietnam Veterans Day, a very special day where we honor and pay tribute to all who served in the Vietnam War. Over 2.7 million Americans fought for our nation in the Vietnam War, according to the Veterans Administration. Many were injured, some gravely.  And many others would never return home alive. I say this often, but it cannot be said enough: This nation owes our…

One Missed Opportunity After Another

Did any of you watch the State of the Union earlier tonight? It was a spin job like no other. Not to beat a dead horse, but inflation is at a 40 year high under Biden's watch. His policies have enabled & encouraged more than 2 million people to illegally cross our border in the last year. Violent crime is rising. We're now $30 trillion in national debt, while he wants trillions more…
