Congressman Norman Opposes Omnibus

Washington, D.C. –  Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-05) voted against the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018, which appropriates money for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2018:

Congressman Norman has released the following statement:

“Washington is a dysfunctional mess. We did not receive this 2,232 pages long bill until 8:15 p.m. last night. We didn’t even have time to read the entire thing!

“This omnibus is a spending boondoggle. It increases federal spending and grows the size of government. This is not draining the swamp.

“This budget just simply does not reflect what Republicans have promised to do. And the American people deserve better.”
