Our office is currently accepting applications for Fall 2026 internships in Washington, D.C. Internships provide students and recent graduates with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the legislative process while serving the people of South Carolina's Fifth Congressional District. The Fall 2026 internship program will run through November 6, 2026.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Answering constituent phone calls and assisting visitors
- Conducting U.S. Capitol tours for constituents
- Assisting staff with research, constituent services, communications, and administrative projects
- Supporting office operations as needed
Qualified applicants should:
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail
- Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Have an interest in public service and the legislative process
