Surplus Books Program

Congressman Norman is pleased to participate in the Surplus Books Program in partnership with the Library of Congress. Books (including audio, large print and braille formats), videos, and children’s learning games are available to schools, hospitals, libraries, community centers and other tax exempt organizations operating under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code.

These surplus resources cover a wide variety of topics, reading levels, and languages. Your organization is welcome to place a request based on the community you serve. To request materials for an eligible organization you serve, please provide:

  • Organization Name
  • Point of Contact Name / Title / Email / Phone
  • Tax Exempt Number
  • Reading Level / Language / Subject Interest
  • Shipping Address

Materials will be collected, boxed, and shipped to you for sharing with your readers. Please note that specific authors or titles may not be available, as the Library of Congress' inventory changes frequently.

To learn more about this program or to enroll your organization, please call Rep. Norman's Washington, D.C. office at (202) 255-5501.
