Congressman Norman Supports Farm Bill & Reduction of Regulatory Burdens on Farmers

Washington, D.C. –  Congressman Norman has released the following statement regarding the upcoming Farm Bill and his bill, H.R. 5629, the President Trump’s Farm Bill Reforms Act of 2018:

"I am fully supporting the House Farm Bill and the reforms that it proposes. In particular, I applaud the efforts to reduce the regulatory burden on farmers and to reform our nation’s food stamp system to move people from welfare to work. In the same spirit of reducing government spending, I have proposed H.R. 5629, the President Trump’s Farm Bill Reforms Act of 2018, which would reduce subsidy spending in farm programs authorized by the Farm Bill. To be clear – H.R. 5629 was introduced to ensure that meaningful discussions about reducing government spending are on the table as the House begins to debate the 2018 Farm Bill in the coming weeks.”
