Congressman Norman Votes for FY19 NDAA

Washington, D.C. –  Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-05) has released the following statement following the House passage of H.R. 5515, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019:

“Our brave men and women in uniform deserve to be equipped with the best. I am very proud the House has passed the annual NDAA to provide much-needed funding for our military. This one is extra special because this year’s NDAA gives our troops their biggest pay raise in 9 years, updates our military infrastructure, restores our military readiness, and provides necessary funding for our military to face the global threats of the 21st Century.

“Furthermore, two of my amendments to make the Department of Defense more transparent with taxpayer dollars were included in the final bill. Our troops at Shaw Air Force Base and across the country need our support, and we owe it to all the men and women who sacrifice their lives so that we may enjoy our day-to-day liberties.”
