Earlier today, I received a very kind letter in the mail from a constituent who lives in Fort Mill. She had experienced difficulty with the Social Security Administration trying to obtain benefits that were rightfully hers. And what she needed was an expert who knew the system inside & out. Someone who could go to bat on her behalf. Folks, I know politics often makes headlines, and much of what I do in Washington revolves around policy and legislation. But the SINGLE MOSTimportant responsibility of my job in Congress is serving those who live back at home, regardless of politics. If you live in South Carolina's 5th Congressional District (see map) please remember that constituent service is my top priority. Whether it's the VA, Social Security Administration, IRS, HUD, USDA or any other federal agency, don't ever hesitate to reach out if you feel like you could use a little extra assistance.
