It’s been called the “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” And it’s caused a chaotic mess in the House of Representatives this week.
On Tuesday, Democrats pushed a vote to condemn President Trump's recent comments on Twitter. Then they tried to impeach him last night. After the impeachment vote failed, Speaker Nancy Pelosi remind the nation that six (6) different Democrat-led committees in the House will continue working to try and find something (anything) that might help them with future efforts to impeach. Before all this, they voted to hold Attorney General Barr and Commerce Secretary Ross in contempt over documents related to the President’s efforts to… get this… reinstate a citizenship question back into our census.
Whether we agree or not with the President's policy positions, tone, personality, style, choice of words, use of social media, etc., we can all agree that Mr. Trump has always “called it like he sees it.” Democrats in Congress haven’t really figured out how to process that. And so their two-pronged response has been to (A) try and prevent the President’s success on almost every front, and (B) pursue opportunities for impeachment. Neither of those are in the nation’s best interest.
