Those who work for our intelligence agencies have a responsibility to protect sensitive information. It’s in their culture. It’s in their training. And it’s in their employment agreement.

According to the official report released moments ago from the Office of Inspector General, “Former Director Comey failed to live up to this responsibility.” He set a “dangerous example” for FBI employees in an attempt to "achieve a personally desired outcome.”

This is reckless, unacceptable, and we need to make sure this never happens again – no matter who is in charge.
