For far too long, Washington bureaucrats and radical activists have turned a blind eye while vulnerable children were placed in harm’s way. That’s why I strongly support the Trump administration’s effort to bar medical providers from receiving federal health insurance dollars if they are subjecting minors to harmful gender procedures.
What the left calls “gender-affirming care” often includes puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible medical interventions. These are NOT small decisions. They permanently alter young lives, yet are being pushed on children who are not old enough to vote, sign a contract, or even get a tattoo.
Last week, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed what parents across the country already know. Sex-rejecting medical procedures are HIGHLY detrimental to children. Under this policy, providers that perform these procedures on minors will no longer receive Medicare or Medicaid funding. That is long overdue!!
For years, families were misled by the gender industry and the radical left. Many young people were rushed into life-altering decisions and are now living with deep regret. Brave individuals like Chloe Cole have spoken out after realizing they were deceived. Their stories should serve as a warning to the nation.
Children are not experiments. This should never have been allowed.
President Trump made it clear in January that the United States will no longer support the chemical or surgical transitioning of children. As a father and grandfather, I fully agree. Protecting our kids should never be controversial. It’s common sense.
Hospitals that rely on taxpayer dollars must be held accountable. If they are harming children instead of protecting them, they should not receive federal funding.
