Cosponsoring the Chloe Cole Act

For too long, the medical industry has failed the very people it is supposed to protect, our CHILDREN. Instead of exercising caution and care, too many in this industry have rushed families into life-altering, irreversible procedures like puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical interventions on MINORS.

That is unacceptable.

The Chloe Cole Act shines a light on this continued malpractice. It puts safeguards in place by prohibiting these procedures on minors and ensuring families have the choice to seek accountability when the harm is done.

Chloe Cole’s story underscores exactly why this legislation is needed. At just 12 years old, she was quickly put on puberty blockers, followed by testosterone, and underwent a double mastectomy at age 15. Today, she is recognized as one of the most outspoken figures on the negative impacts of these devastating procedures.

As Chloe said:

“There are so many other young people like us. We were lied to by doctors, nurses, and therapists when we were vulnerable and confused children. They did irreversible harm to our bodies and minds, making a mockery of the medical profession. They should absolutely be held accountable for sacrificing us in service to radical transgender ideology."

We have a responsibility to continue to protect our children. I’m proud to stand with my colleagues, including Rep. Bob Onder, in supporting the Chloe Cole Act. Let’s get this passed to restore accountability, uphold medical integrity, and put the well-being of our children first.
