South Carolina’s small businesses are the backbone of our communities, and many have been hit hard by the severe drought conditions that began earlier this year.
I’m glad to see the U.S. Small Business Administration stepping up to provide low-interest federal disaster loans to eligible small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, nurseries, and nonprofit organizations that have suffered economic losses as a result of the drought.
This assistance is available in numerous counties across South Carolina, including counties in the Fifth District: Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster, Lee, and Sumter.
If your business has been impacted, I encourage you to explore the resources available through the SBA. Applications can be submitted online at sba.gov/disaster. For additional assistance, call (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
The deadline to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans is January 19, 2027. 🚨
