The House Oversight Committee is the main investigative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Its purpose is to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the federal government and all its agencies. Among its five (5) subcommittees, the Environment Subcommittee has jurisdiction over federal activity in environmental protection, energy policy, public lands, public health, endangered species, and air & water quality.
As the new ranking member of the Environment Subcommittee, Rep. Norman issued the following statement on Thursday:
