These are Border Patrol encounters of illegal immigrants by month. (An “encounter” is either an apprehension or an immediate expulsion.)
Did you read how the Secretary of Homeland Security recently described the situation? He called Biden’s border crisis "unsustainable" and went on to say, “if our borders are the first line of defense, we're going to lose.”
No kidding.
Last month shattered a 20-year record for apprehensions along our southern border. We've surpassed 1.1 MILLION so far this year. And that's to say nothing of the countless people who made it through without being caught – we’ve no idea how high that number is. Some might describe Mr. Biden’s actions regarding our border as breathtakingly incompetent.
But it’s not incompetence. Not when you understand the ultimate goal here is amnesty, a pathway to citizenship, and millions of new (mostly) Democrat voters.
There's no other way to explain his intentionally halting new construction of the border wall, trying to end removals of thousands with active deportation orders, ending Trump’s “remain in Mexico” asylum policy, and reinstating Obama’s “catch & release into the USA” program.
