U.S. Capitol Building

VENUES: Many museums, indoor attractions, and other public venues around Washington, D.C. are open to drop in visitors. In some cases, online timed passes are recommended, especially during peak tour season. For all attractions, please check web sites for updates on operating hours and visit recommendations.

WHITE HOUSE, CAPITOL, AND OTHER FEDERAL DESTINATIONS: My office can place a request for you and your party to visit the White House or to take a tour of the US Capitol.  We can also request timed passes to the Library of Congress. It is up to the individual agency to confirm the request. Tickets are free and based on first come, first served availability. We will do everything we can to facilitate your request, however there are no guarantees.

WHITE HOUSE VISIT REQUESTS are accepted 3 months in advance, so let us know your preferred date as soon as you can. We want to make sure you have the best advantage for confirmation since openings fill fast. Open hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8am ~ 12:30pm. The White House Visitor Office assigns the time if confirmed. This protocol is subject to change.

Member Offices are limited to one staff-led Capitol per week with a maximum of 15 people. While we’ve booked ahead to ensure spaces, it's important to let us know your preference as soon as you can so we can do our best to match your dates.

NOTE: The Supreme Court, Bureau of Engraving & Printing, Pentagon, FBI Education Center, US Treasury, and Diplomatic Reception Rooms at the State Department are currently closed for visitors. Once open, we can assist with reservations at these venues.

If my office is unable to secure a congressional tour for the sites you selected, please consider other locations that are available for public tours. Admittance is determined by the individual tour site or agency, not by the Congressional office. Unless specified, tours are available Monday through Friday.
