The polling on school choice is crystal clear, and it's not even close: the overwhelming majority of parents – by far – support school choice.

If we truly want to improve educational outcomes, then part of that is allowing parents to place their children in the learning environment that's most suitable for them.

While we have many excellent public schools across our state & nation, we also have too many areas where public education is failing our students. This is unfair and oppressive to children whose families cannot afford something different.

Even if every public school exceeded all expectations, school choice would still be important because no single school is ideal for every child assigned to it! Every student is unique, and parents should be able to choose the learning environment they feel is best for their child.

Whether it's public, private, charter, magnet, or homeschooling, I believe tax dollars for education should follow the student. Give parents the choice!
