Congressman Norman Supports POTUS’ Decision to Withdraw from Iran Deal
Washington,
May 9, 2018
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-05) has released the following statement in response to President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA): "The Iran Deal was a bad deal from the start. I fully support President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the JCPOA and re-impose sanctions onto Iran. “This flawed deal allowed the Iranian regime to continue with their evil ways. Iran also still had a pathway to develop ballistic missiles and avoid any type of military site inspections under this deal. “We must ensure that Iran never have nuclear weapons. “President Trump has made it clear that it is time Iran be held accountable and put America’s national security first. I applaud the President for his strong leadership and keeping Americans safe.”
