Have you guys heard about this?! A “Disinformation Governance Board” is the latest in a long line of horrible ideas out of this White House.

Biden has appointed someone named Nina Jankowicz to run this agency. It turns out Jankowicz herself has been responsible for a trove of disinformation over the years, most notably calling the bombshell news of Hunter Biden’s laptop a “Trump campaign product.”

What hypocrisy.

So you’re probably wondering what Biden wants his Disinformation Czar to do, right? First of all, her agency will be part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which ought to raise the hackles of every American right off the bat.

According to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas – who I believe should have been fired long ago – this agency will be tasked with addressing “disinformation that imperils the safety and security of our homeland.”

Well… that’s clear as mud.

In other words, this agency will presumably be monitoring what Americans are saying about items of national importance. Being a DHS operation, that’ll easily include topics like illegal immigration, election integrity, Russia’s war on Ukraine, covid, etc.

So what impact will this agency have over the information we consume? What influence will they have over news outlets? Or what’s allowed to be posted & consumed on social media?

What will the extent of its power and authority be? What happens when our new Disinformation Czar comes across things she doesn’t want you to know? Or for that matter, things that are true but damaging to the White House? (Like the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell.)

Friends, it is not the role of government to try and control or manage what it believes is “disinformation.” You can trust I’ll be strongly opposed to Nina Jankowicz and this “Disinformation Governance Board” in Congress. This is just another horrible idea from an inept, unqualified, and out-of-control administration.
