I want to put this on everyone’s radar, just for awareness. By Wednesday, a slow-moving hurricane is expected to impact Florida. Depending on its ultimate path, we may experience some heavy weather up in our part of South Carolina.
As of this (Monday) morning, this storm is not a major cause for alarm for our part of South Carolina. Hopefully the impacts along the Gulf Coast will be minimal and the hurricane will dissipate quickly once it moves inland.
However, it is something you should keep an eye on. If this storm does run up through Georgia and into South Carolina, our area could experience heavier rains and windy conditions that might lead to localized flooding and power outages.
*** Again, no cause for panic right now where we are in South Carolina’s 5th congressional district – but just please be aware.
