This is political persecution.

This is political persecution. It’s harassment. It’s a national disgrace, and a total abuse of power by a Democrat prosecutor.

This is a district attorney who literally campaigned on prosecuting Trump. He’s going back six years to claim felony charges of “falsifying business records.” Yet for that to be a felony, the law says it must have been done with the “intent to commit another crime or to aid in the concealment of the commission” of a crime.

So what’s the other crime, you ask?

Well, that’s not entirely clear at this point based on the actual indictment. In a press release moments ago, the district attorney claims Trump falsified business records to hide a payment to suppress negative information that might hurt his campaign. Really?! That’s the underlying “crime”?

Friends, this has nothing to do with justice. Under identical circumstances, District Attorney Alvin Bragg would NEVER pursue these charges against someone else. This is a political prosecution.

They want the indictment, even if the charges have no merit. They want this hanging over Trump’s political campaign. They want the mainstream media using the word “indicted” every time Trump’s name is uttered, even though this case is going nowhere.

A very, very dangerous precedent has just been set in American politics by an activist prosecutor. This should have NEVER happened.
