Congressman Norman Votes for Defense Funding

Washington, D.C. –  Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-05) voted in favor to pass H.R. 6157, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, which increases funding for our military to $674.6 billion.

Congressman Norman has released the following statement:

"Today, I was proud to support the annual appropriations bill for the Pentagon and our military. This bill not only provides critical funding for updated equipment and training, it rebuilds our military capabilities to ensure our men and women in uniform are more ready and more equipped for duty for the first time in many years, and – not to mention – this bill gave our troops the largest pay raise in 9 years!

“Furthermore, this bill ensures our men and women at Shaw Air Force Base, and across the country, are taken care of, and I was pleased to support this bill. Without their sacrifices, we would not be here today, and we certainly would not be enjoying our day-to-day liberties they allow us to enjoy.”
