It’s not even a 1-for-1 prisoner swap! Did you see the news yesterday about the so-called “deal” the Biden Administration struck with Iran? This is unbelievable.

The headlines announced five Americans being held in Iran would be released in exchange for the U.S. unfreezing $6 billion in Iranian funds that had been frozen as part of our sanctions on that terrorist regime. Oh, but there’s more under the headlines!

They’re ALSO getting five Iranians back who had been arrested here in the U.S.

So we get 5. And they get 5… plus $6 billion. Brilliant.

Perhaps this makes sense if it’s just prisoners, depending on the nature of their charges. But we’re also releasing $6 billion that will almost certainly be put to use funding military and terrorist efforts detrimental to the United States. This deal makes zero sense.

This is not how you handle regimes that fund terrorism around the globe. They’ve learned we’re not only willing to negotiate, but that we’re willing to bend over backwards. It’s yet another dangerous precedent set by this President and his administration.
