No Funds for Iranian Terrorism Act

Rep. McCaul (R-TX) has a bill in the House called the “No Funds for Iranian Terrorism Act.” This legislation is important because President Biden has been oddly weak on Iran. Among other things, this bill seeks to reimpose $6 billion in sanctions on Iran that Biden wants to lift.

Any way you slice it, whatever money we give Iran access to WILL be used to fund military and terrorist efforts detrimental to the United States. So there’s no reason, and no excuse, for Biden to go down this road.

Along those lines…

I proposed an amendment to Rep. McCaul’s bill that passed yesterday in the House. My amendment will require a 45-day waiting period between Presidential certification and removal of sanctions going forward. This should provide an opportunity for congressional oversight, instead of allowing the President to move forward on a whim where it pertains to sanctions.
