EPA Nonsense

The Environmental Protection Agency is bent on trying to implement rules that would pressure auto manufacturers to produce electric vehicles (EVs) at quantities the market cannot support.

This is another rogue agency filled with bureaucrats who are not living in reality.

For example, back in May, the EPA proposed a rule setting emissions standards for light-duty passenger vehicles and light trucks and medium-duty vehicles for model years 2027 through 2032. This rule would reduce carbon dioxide emissions targets for cars, vans, SUVs, pickup trucks, landscaping dump trucks, box trucks, etc. Get this…

By the EPA’s own estimates, this rule would result in two-thirds of new passenger vehicles in the United States being electric by 2032.

🔸 Nevermind the fact that EVs are currently unusable for a significant number of vehicle needs.

🔸 Nevermind the fact that maintenance costs are proving to be considerably higher for EVs.

🔸 Nevermind the fact that our electric grid will not be able to handle this type of massive load within the next 9 years.

🔸 Nevermind the fact this will drive up vehicle prices for every American.

🔸 Nevermind the fact that the carbon emissions required to extract the required minerals and produce these batteries is massive.

🔸 Nevermind the fact it takes most of the estimated life of an EV to offset the emissions required to make it.

Every bit of this woke nonsense is harmful to our nation and economy. There is a bill before Congress that would prohibit the EPA from implementing these rules. (This video was from the House Rules Committee yesterday, where that bill was being discussed.)

Unfortunately, this EPA overreach will likely carry on until Democrats are relieved of their majority in the Senate and White House.
