I am thrilled to announce the SC-5 winner is an 11th grader from Fort Mill High School, Samay, who developed his app called “Dreamer”, an interactive educational app designed for children with developmental disorders. Dreamer was selected as the winner for its concept creativity, functionality, and capability of future development.
Congratulations on this huge accomplishment, Samay. I look forward to seeing you again in D.C. for #HouseofCode!
The Congressional App Challenge was created in 2013 by the House to encourage STEM and computer science education. Middle and high school students from every participating House district can work individually or as a team to develop an “app” by way of coding.
