A CR Shift for the Swamp

A quick update from D.C. - Usually, I am no fan of a continuing resolution because they represent a "kick the can down the road" approach when we should be passing our 12 appropriations bills on time, which hasn’t been done since 1997. However, this CR is a HUGE shift for the swamp. I decided to vote yes on it because I trust President Trump’s agenda.

The bill REDUCES then FREEZES spending for the next six months and contains ZERO earmarks. Voters gave us a mandate to make sure President Trump has the necessary tools to deliver for the American people, moving toward the critical process of budget reconciliation and extending the tax cuts.

Paired with the work from DOGE identifying waste, fraud, and abuse - this CR responsibly keeps the government open so President Trump can do the important work of securing our border, unleashing American energy, restoring common sense to government, and getting our spending under control.

To no one’s surprise, Democrats voted against the CR. They are the chaos agents!!

It’s ought time that Congress delivers to the American people ON TIME and works to get our fiscal house in order.
