Today, the House voted to pass the Senate’s budget resolution unlocking the first step towards the budget reconciliation process.

"TAX CUTS FOR ALL AMERICANS!! It’s not the government’s money, it’s the hardworking taxpayers’ money!

Let me be clear: my top priority in Congress is stopping the reckless spending that’s driving our nation deeper into debt. This government cannot keep writing checks our children and grandchildren will be FORCED to cover.

This budget resolution is a solid step forward—and a WIN for conservatives who are serious about reining in Washington. But let’s not kid ourselves… there’s still heavy lifting ahead. We must SLASH this out-of-control spending if we want to make President Trump’s historic tax cuts permanent for ALL Americans and restore fiscal sanity to this country.

I want to thank Leader John Thune and Speaker Mike Johnson for publicly committing to seeking $1.5 trillion in cuts, which is critical to rein in reckless spending in Washington. Now, the real work begins!!

And as always, a big thanks to President Trump for leading the charge and delivering the policies that got our economy ROARING in the first place."
