My statement on voting to reopen the federal government and ending the democrat-forced shutdown:

"After more than 40 days of needless hardship for the American people, Democrats finally relented and allowed the government to reopen. On September 19th, I voted in favor of a clean-nonpartisan resolution. This entire ordeal could have been avoided had the Left chosen to work for the people instead of playing political games. Our military, law enforcement, and federal employees deserve better than to be used as leverage in Washington's partisan fights."
