Restoring Budget Transparency to Congress

National Taxpayers Union recently highlighted my work on restoring NEEDED budget transparency to Congress. My Fair-Value Accounting and Budget Act (H.R. 1388) would require the Congressional Budget Office provide fair-value estimates of federal loan and loan guarantee programs. “For far too long, our government has operated inefficiently, leading to poor lawmaking with hefty costs to the American taxpayer.
