National Telecommunications and Information Admin secures $2 Billion

ICYMI🚨 Under Secretary Lutnik’s leadership, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration just secured a $2 BILLION deal to strengthen FirstNet, the nationwide public safety network that first responders rely on every day. That means BETTER coverage, FASTER communication, and REAL support for law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs when seconds matter most!! Even more importantly, this deal delivers value for taxpayers. Roughly $1 billion in cost savings will be reinvested DIRECTLY into the network, while another $1 billion goes toward expanding and upgrading critical infrastructure. Nothing is better than the federal government cutting costs, strengthening capabilities, and putting public safety first. We owe it to our first responders to give them the tools they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. HUGE win for them and for every American community they serve!! |
