Elaine and I are praying for the families of these young boys whose lives were tragically taken by a criminal, drunk, illegal alien. 

According to local reports, while driving under the influence, Eri Otoniel Roblero Perez struck and killed Dereon Robinson and Mikhail-Lee Smith as they were innocently riding their bikes. They were just 12 and 9 years old, with their whole lives ahead of them. Now, their families are left grieving an unimaginable loss. 

Moments like this are a painful reminder that public policy is not abstract. It is not a talking point. It affects real people, real families, and real children. This tragedy happened in our home state, but it could have happened to any family. As a grandfather to 17 grandchildren all living in SC, I take this personally.

The Biden-Harris Administration's failure to secure our border and enforce our laws puts every community at risk. No family should have to endure this kind of loss, and no child should ever pay the price for such reckless and preventable actions. 

THIS is why a closed border and enforcing laws MATTER.
