Last week, I co-sponsored the “SMART Infrastructure Act” to help with our nation’s infrastructure improvements.
There are municipalities around the nation that have adopted severe restriction on the types of materials that can be used for things like road improvements, bridges, water delivery, etc. The problem with these regulations is that they reduce competition and often stand in the way newer and better technologies.
This bi-partisan bill will remove those regulations for federal projects, open competition, help speed up infrastructure improvements, allow better technologies, and save taxpayers billions in the process.
