The Rioting and Lawlessness Cannot Be Tolerated
Washington,
September 3, 2020
Here’s a little “inside baseball” in the world of politics. Thanks to some recent polling, liberals have finally been persuaded that Americans are FED UP with their weak stance when it comes to our safety.
Every day for months, we’ve been slapped with news about riots and violence throughout dozens of major cities. Most of the areas have been run by local Democrats for generations, including Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Washington, etc. Countless businesses have been looted and destroyed. Citizens in these areas live in abject fear that their homes, and their families, could be the next target. It’s important to understand what the Democrats’ strategy has been until now. This violence is obviously NOT their long-term vision for our nation. Nobody wants that. The problem is that on the local level, none of the leaders in these cities have been willing or capable of maintaining the peace. Meanwhile, Democrats on the national level have been trying to exploit this violence for political gain. Their messages on these riots have been carefully crafted and focus-group tested. They mostly express soft disapproval while stopping short of calling for any real crackdown. Meanwhile, they’ve tried to frame these riots as “Trump’s America” and hoping to ride that lie to victory in November. Then, of course, the far-left rioters would naturally quiet down because their politicians had gained power. Democrats could then claim victory over the violence and get moving on their liberal agenda for the nation. This is not hard to follow. But then the polls shifted. The polls shifted on this issue because Americans realized it’s been Republicans, not Democrats, fighting for our safety. It’s been Republicans, not Democrats, who have You know… all those pesky little things that would actually put an end to this violence. That’s what Americans want, and this is why Democrats have suddenly shifted their message on this violence. Instead, we’ll now hear Democrats finally admit what Republicans have been saying since this all started: that rioting and lawlessness CANNOT be tolerated, and every reasonable step should be taken to stop this violence and restore peace to our cities.
