GREAT NEWS: another jobs report that once again beats analysts' expectations. In August, our nation's unemployment rate "tumbled to 8.4% as the U.S. economy continued to climb its way out of the pandemic downturn."
Check out our unemployment rates since the first pandemic jobs report back in April:
April: 14.7%
May: 13.3% (analysts predicted 19.5%)
June: 11.1% (analysts predicted 12.5%)
July: 10.2% (analysts predicted 10.6%)
August: 8.4% (analysts predicted 9.8%)
*** It begs the question: who are these "analysts" and why do we continue to lend them any credibility? Every month lately, they've proven themselves to be as MONUMENTALLY WRONG as the people who thought that our economy should remain shut down.
Lots of work remains to be done, but things are certainly looking up for our nation – no question about it.
