Congress Has A Responsibility

This morning I was asked in an interview about my thoughts ahead of votes tomorrow in Congress on the Electoral College certification. This is an excerpt – see below for a link to the full interview.

It's not like we're in uncharted waters here. Democrats objected to the certifications of BOTH George W. Bush after the 2004 election AND Donald Trump after the 2016 election. Of course, none of those Democrat objectors were accused of "sedition" or being a "traitor” like Republican objectors are today. With that aside, what I said earlier about voting irregularities in various states is worth repeating:

I realize this is a very steep uphill battle. At the end of the day, however, Congress has a responsibility to ensure our federal elections are fair. That’s all we’ve asked for from the start, and this is the only avenue Congress has to debate and determine whether that was the case.
