The latest update as of this (Thursday) evening is that Mrs. Pelosi is "almost ready" to send her Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate. It's taking her longer to walk those papers down the hall than it did for Democrats to impeach Mr. Trump.

Folks, this is ultimately an effort to prevent former President Trump from ever running for office again. It's spiteful theatrics.

Here's what to expect: (1) The Senate will attempt to move forward with the impeachment trial. (2) There will be legitimate questions as to whether the Senate even has the constitutional authority to proceed, given that Trump is no longer in office. (3) Mainstream media will feed us a steady diet of analysis saying, "this is necessary for unity and healing." (4) But the majority of Americans will see this for what it really is. (5) And when all is said & done, there won't even be enough votes to convict.
