We need to talk about how utterly foolish this President’s energy policies are. Here’s the headline from Sunday: “Biden gives Chevron permit to restart Venezuelan oil sales.”

Let’s unpack this a little.

Americans are paying 17.5% more for gasoline over the last year. Fuel oil (used for heating) is up 68.5%. Total energy costs are up 17.6%. These numbers are directly from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. All of this is a direct result of Mr. Biden’s energy policies.

So how does the President respond once it becomes clear that he’s hurting Americans? Did he release his block on new oil exploration on federal lands? Did he step back from the regulations which have dramatically increased production costs? Did he reinstate oil and gas leases in important parts of the United States? Did he reassess his decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline?

No, of course not.

Instead, in the months leading up to the election, his first inclination was to release crude oil from our nation’s emergency reserve stockpiles. And now we’re going to send billions to socialist Venezuela for their oil! Both are astronomically bad moves.

Leave it to the woke “progressive” left to weaken our country & economy in pursuit of their failed energy policies.

Now is the time to unleash American energy and allow our country to return to energy independence!
