Get ready: Title 42 is set to expire one week from today, on May 11th.

For those who need a refresher: Title 42 is the temporary policy that allows our border officials to turn away individuals, without a hearing, who are apprehended while trying to enter our country illegally. It was a Covid mitigation policy implemented back in 2020 to help keep holding facilities from becoming too crowded.

More than 3 MILLION people who were apprehended while trying to cross our border illegally have been sent back under Title 42. That’s an astonishing number, and it comes directly from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

As you might guess, our open borders President has been trying to end Title 42 for quite some time. Those efforts were fortunately blocked by the courts. However, now that the “Covid-19 public health emergency” is set to expire next Thursday, Title 42 will also formally end. That means our border officials will no longer be able to use Title 42 to quickly turn people around at the border.

So what’s going to happen?

Well, we’re probably going to see yet ANOTHER massive run on the border next week as Title 42 expires. We’ve got El Paso, Laredo, and Brownsville already in a state of emergency, and every state in the Continental 48 is bracing for another large wave of illegal immigrants soon. Friends, this is what happens when we have a President like Joe Biden.

In an effort to save face, Biden is sending 1,500 active-duty military troops to our southern border ahead of next week’s surge to assist our Border Patrol. Think about that for a minute…

This is the president who stopped new border wall construction. He tried to end our “remain in Mexico” asylum policy and tried to reinstate “catch & release into the USA.” He tried to halt the removal of those with active deportation orders, and actively opposed Title 42.

The result is 5 MILLION people who have been caught trying to enter our country illegally since Biden took office, total chaos along the border, strained social safety net programs, overwhelmed law enforcement, a demoralized Border Patrol, and a host of other major problems. All because of this President.

If Biden had done ABSOLUTLY NOTHING along the border other than to keep Trump’s policies in place, the end of Title 42 would be nothing to worry about. But for a president who has facilitated illegal immigration from the moment he took office, the fact that Biden is now deploying troops is a clear admission his policies have been an abject failure.
