"Federal authorities caught a terrorist at the U.S. southern border and released him into the country, where he roamed freely for nearly a year before being arrested in Minnesota just days ago."
An initial screening allowed him to be released into the interior of the U.S. But one year later, they re-evaluated and concluded this individual was, in fact, a suspected terrorist.
I get mistakes were obviously made here. But let's be clear: we shouldn't be in this position in the first place. Our border should be so tight that the chances of making through are slim, and the changes to being released onto U.S. soil are even slimmer.
