A Desperate Search for Any Justification

Imagine what it must be like to be a Democrat in Congress right now.
These are folks who have never been able to come to terms with the outcome of our 2016 Presidential election. They’ve no idea how to handle a Republican President who loves to punch back as hard as he gets punched. They’re frustrated to realize that it’s been his policies – not theirs – which have carried our nation to the best economy and lowest unemployment in decades. But most of all, they know their party’s dreams – things like Medicare for All, open borders, “free” college tuition, the Green New Deal, chipping away at the 2nd Amendment, etc. – have no chance with him in the White House.
That’s exactly why the last three years has been one long, desperate search for any reason(s) Democrats think the American people would accept as justification for removing their President. Earlier today, they settled on two and drew up articles of impeachment claiming “abuse of power” and “obstruction of justice.”
Both are ridiculous charges which will rightly go nowhere in the Senate.
