A+ Grade for Pro-Life Activity During the 116th Congress

It’s not a competition. But if it were, I’d be lapping most every other Member of Congress. 20 is the number to beat…

Since the start of the 117th Congress two weeks ago, I’ve either sponsored or co-sponsored twenty PRO-LIFE bills in the House. (With many more to come.) I’ll post details on a few of those next week.

Today, however, is a dark anniversary. It was on this day in 1973 when the Roe v. Wade decision legalized abortion. Over the last 48 years, more than 60 million unborn children have been aborted. Let that sink in: SIXTY MILLION unborn children.

Yesterday, I introduced a resolution in the House that would recognize today as “National Sanctity of Life Day.” With 47+ original co-sponsors, this resolution reaffirms a commitment to safeguard life at every stage, and specifically recognizes the important work of pregnancy care centers across our nation.

Also yesterday, I was honored by the announcement from the Susan B. Anthony List that I earned an A+ grade for my pro-life activity over the last two years during the 116th Congress.

*** Abortion for convenience is NOT healthcare. There will come a day when our nation views abortion for convenience with the same revulsion and abhorrence as history's worst
atrocities. The sooner that day comes, the better. As long as I'm in Congress, I’ll never stop fighting for the sanctity of life.
