Late Wednesday night, Rep. Ralph Norman (SC-5) issued the following statement on Vladimir Putin and Russia's war on Ukraine:
"War has begun in Ukraine. Despite his lies, his revisionist history, and his psychopathic behavior, the entire world recognizes that Vladimir Putin is solely responsible for this. There can be no doubt that Russia is the aggressor in this war, and the enemy of… Read more »
The situation with Russia continues to be very tense, and still escalating in the wrong direction.
For months, Vladimir Putin has been positioning massive levels of troops and military equipment along Russia’s border with Ukraine. And for months, the United States (and most of the world) has responded to this growing threat with words, not actions.
In eastern Ukraine, there are two… Read more »
The situation with Russia continues to get worse by the day.
Many believe an invasion of Ukraine is imminent. In fact, last week the U.S. State Department advised American citizens to leave Ukraine immediately, and started evacuating all but essential staff from our embassy in Kyiv.
Unfortunately, America is no longer operating from a position of strength.
We’ve completely capitulated… Read more »
Concerning Russia’s buildup of military forces along its border with Ukraine, this is a very troubling situation. An emboldened Vladimir Putin is in no country’s best interest – not even Russia’s.
As a former (and forever) KGB agent, Putin’s motives are plentiful: Clearly he wants Russia to be the dominant power in Europe. • He likely believes Ukraine "is actually a… Read more »
"But when the Taliban arrived, these heroic women were beaten with whips and batons." This article is a powerful summary of the the despair women & girls in Afghanistan now face because of President Biden's botched withdraw of U.S. forces from that nation.

They knew it would be necessary to keep the Taliban marginalized, help maintain peace in that region, and support our various intelligence operations.
But wait…!

❌ A rushed, completely arbitrary date of withdrawal. ❌ A conscious choice to leave some Americans behind. ❌ No effective plan to handle our translators and other Afghans who helped our military. ❌ A deliberate decision to leave billions of dollars’ worth of U.S. military equipment in the hands of a terrorist regime. ❌ 13 U.S. military deaths in one day, following a year since any combat… Read more »
It's bad enough to leave Americans behind following President Biden’s horrifically botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.
You’d think the least that Secretary of State Blinkin and the rest of this administration could do is help accommodate private evacuation efforts… which are underway to pick up their slack!
Once again: this is one of the WORST presidential failures of our… Read more »
It's been an exhausting week, but well worth it. We just wrapped up a series of in-person town halls all over the district, and I want to thank the hundreds of people who showed up. It was great to see and hear from so many folks!
Also a special thanks to Rep. William Timmons who joined me in Spartanburg, the dozens of law enforcement officers who kept us all safe, and all the venues… Read more »
