He had just been released from prison before viciously killing five people in Waukesha, Wisconsin over the weekend, and injuring 48 others.

By any reasonable measure, this guy is a CAREER CRIMINAL, having been arrested for things like sexual abuse, domestic abuse, battery, reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of drugs, resisting an officer, bail jumping, recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and other crimes.

Friends, at some point, prison is no longer about rehabilitation. At some point, prison serves to simply remove someone from society who has demonstrated, REPEATEDLY, that they’re a danger to others. Darrell Brooks seems to have reached that point years ago, so we deserve to know how and why he continued to be released, over and over again.

I’m so tired of those who want to defund our police, weaken sentencing guidelines, and eliminate bail. There’s even a Democrat congresswoman from Michigan who literally proposed a bill that would create a “roadmap for prison abolition.” It’s nuts.

This is such a tragic act of violence on innocent life. While we’re giving thanks this week for our blessings, please remember to pray for these Waukesha families and that entire community.
