Christmas came a little early this year! 1️⃣ The socialist “Build Back Broke” legislation stalled out yesterday. 2️⃣ Separately, the Senate Parliamentarian ruled, again, that Democrats could not include amnesty in that legislation. And 3️⃣ Biden backed off trying to pay illegal immigrants $450,000 each in “legal settlements.”
All of this is promising news heading into Christmas. For those interested in a little more detail….
FIRST – on Build Back Broke (BBB) which is the Democrats’ massive, multi-trillion-dollar socialist spending plan. Remember it passed the Democrat-controlled House and was trying to make its way through the Senate. Fortunately, progress on BBB formally stalled out in the Senate yesterday. This is excellent news for the overwhelming majority of Americans upset about government overreach, inflation, national debt, rampant illegal immigration, protecting our religious and personal liberties, and so many other issues. I’ve touched on this bill multiple times – it’s critical Early Ch that BBB be defeated.
SECOND – on amnesty, Democrats managed to include amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants in the House’s version of their Build Back Broke plan. Over in the Senate, however, their parliamentarian ruled yesterday – for the 3rd time – that Democrats could NOT include amnesty given the circumstances under which they were trying to pass that bill. That’s more good news.
THIRD – on paying illegal immigrants up to $450,000 each, remember this is how much the Biden Administration wanted to give some noncitizens from other countries… who broke our immigration laws and now are suing our government over the way they were treated in the process. (See my post back from Nov. 1st for details.) Well yesterday, multiple news outlets reported that the Biden Administration suspended these negotiations. They should have never happened in the first place.
*** Friends, none of this should be misinterpreted as liberals changing their minds on any of these efforts. It’s just a temporary pause. They’re just buying time to regroup, re-strategize, and figure out another angle. I’m certain we’ll be talking about these items again early next year.
