Breaking news this morning with an ongoing clinical study of one of the COVID-19 vaccines currently in development. This particular vaccine, developed by Pfizer, appears to have prevented more than 90% of COVID-19 infections, and is being called “the most encouraging scientific advance so far in the battle against the coronavirus.” The company also reported no significant safety concerns to date.

This vaccine is one of eleven (11) currently in late-stage trials. If everything continues on track, the FDA should be in a position to grant emergency authorization for widespread distribution of this vaccine starting later this month, with 11-15 million vaccinations manufactured by the end of the year. This is outstanding news.
