We’re in for a World of Hurt

Mark my words: we’re in for a world of hurt. And it’s a direct result of President Biden’s retreat from Afghanistan.

It is remarkable to see how quickly the Taliban has conquered major regions in that country. Afghanistan has 34 provinces, each with a capital city. Within just the last week alone, ten (10) of those provincial capitals have fallen into the hands of the Taliban. Insurgents now control 65% of the country, and their national capital city, Kabul, is expected to fall soon.

It’s gotten so bad that the Biden Administration is now negotiating with these terrorists, pleading with them not to attack our embassy in Kabul. As the New York Times reports, U.S. negotiators are “hoping to convince Taliban leaders that the embassy must remain open, and secure, if the group hopes to receive American financial aid and other assistance as part of a future Afghan government.”

It's unbelievable! Biden’s administration is essentially saying, “Please don’t attack. What if we send you money?" (Contrast that to what President Trump would have done in this situation.)

Friends, I’m not saying the U.S. should be the world’s police. But to a considerable degree, our presence in Afghanistan had been a stabilizing force. That security is now gone, and countless people are being slaughtered as the Taliban regime does what EVERYONE knew it would do.

This is only going to get worse. As the Taliban quickly re-establishes its dominance in the region, they’re going to start exporting terrorism to its enemies around the world.

And you better believe America is on their list.
