It’s impossible to not feel like your heart’s being ripped out by watching what’s happening in Afghanistan. The brutality. The Taliban’s takeover of an entire nation. The desperation of countless thousands who are trying to save themselves and their families. And the slaughters that are already underway by that terrorist regime. Presidents Trump and Biden both wanted to see the U.S. military end its presence in Afghanistan. But it wasn’t President Trump who announced some arbitrary withdrawal date to the terrorists. It wasn’t President Trump who ordered a rapid draw-down of American operations while leaving seemingly HUNDREDS of critical, life-threatening details unattended. And it wasn’t President Trump who stayed the course while every indication available to him showed things spiraling rapidly out of control. This will go down in history as one of the worst presidential failures of our lifetime. |
