More on Biden's Vaccine Mandate

More on Biden’s misguided vaccine mandate last week. To recap, the President has directed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to write rules applying to EVERY company with more than 100 employees.

These rules would require workers to either be vaccinated or submit to weekly Covid testing. And get this: failure to comply could result in fines up to $14,000 per violation, according to White House officials. It’s outrageous!!

It’s highly doubtful this (or any) President has the authority to do this. In fact, it wasn’t long ago that the Biden Administration ADMITTED he lacked the ability to implement vaccine mandates, except perhaps among federal workers. So what’s changed, either in the law or Constitution, since then? (Hint: nothing)

This certainly isn’t the first time Biden has overstepped his authority in pursuit of a political objective. Remember just a few weeks ago, the Supreme Court handed Mr. Biden an embarrassing rebuke of his eviction moratorium, which was harming hundreds of thousands of rental property owners. Biden knew that particular effort would fail judicial scrutiny, but that didn’t stop him from trying.

So one has to wonder: Is this just ANOTHER bad decision by the President? Or instead, is this a desperate attempt to shift the focus away from one of the WORST presidential failures of our lifetime: his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the fallout from which we’ll be dealing with for years to come.

Either way, the courts will quickly get involved in Biden’s vaccine mandate, as they should. I don’t want to oversimplify this litigation – these cases will be very complicated with many legal angles. But at the end of the day, the courts will likely find Biden has completely overstepped his authority… again.
