Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-5) issued the following statement in support of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which passed in the House of Representatives on Friday afternoon:
"COVID-19 has placed lives at risk, sent our economy into a spiral, put tremendous strain on our nation’s healthcare systems, and cost millions of Americans their jobs. The federal government has a significant role to play in our response and recovery. Even though this is bill far from perfect, its flaws pale in comparison to the much-needed assistance it will bring to those in desperate need of help." Rep. Norman was present in Washington, D.C. for today's vote. ### |
