Another solid report this morning for South Carolina. The number of people employed in our state is now HIGHER than it was in February 2020, right before the pandemic hit. That’s huge. Additionally, our state’s unemployment rate dropped from 4.5% in June to 4.3% in July. (For reference, the national unemployment last month was 5.4%.)
Numerous factors played a role in this. One of which… Read more »

It’s impossible to not feel like your heart’s being ripped out by watching what’s happening in Afghanistan. The brutality. The Taliban’s takeover of an entire nation. The desperation of countless thousands who are trying to save themselves and their families. And the slaughters that are already underway by that terrorist regime.
Presidents Trump and Biden both wanted to see the U.S.… Read more »
With President Biden’s decision to retreat from Afghanistan, the Taliban regime has taken over that nation with breathtaking speed.
Some people believe it was time for the U.S. to leave Afghanistan. Others believe that having a U.S. military presence in that nation served as a stabilizing force for the region and helped prevent terrorism around the globe.
Regardless of which side you… Read more »

Mark my words: we’re in for a world of hurt. And it’s a direct result of President Biden’s retreat from Afghanistan.
It is remarkable to see how quickly the Taliban has conquered major regions in that country. Afghanistan has 34 provinces, each with a capital city. Within just the last week alone, ten (10) of those provincial capitals have fallen into the hands of the Taliban.… Read more »
Having spent 40 years in the real estate business, I know firsthand the hardships some people go through when it comes to paying rent. Hardships do happen, and facing eviction is a real concern for some. It’s not anything to be discounted or taken lightly.
Yet like so many other things, big government has made the problem worse.
Almost a year ago, President Trump and the CDC announced a… Read more »
Check out this Wall Street Journal sentence in an article published Saturday:
“Migrant families continue to be released with instructions to check in with immigration authorities, rather than being given court dates, because border agents are too busy to issue the proper paperwork.”
That’s unreal.
Everyone knew there’d be a massive surge of illegal immigrants after President Biden… Read more »
